I play in that Rink now and have for the last 20+ years. It's my connection to all my Houston friends through the years. It's been a big part of my life, still is...And I live in Austin! Was coming in 2 weeks to play a Seto Tourney.
Pleasssseeee keep Surgerland Rink Open!

Played a lot of good hockey games the Sugarland rink. Closure of this rink will limit growth of youth hockey in Houston.

Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center is an extremely valued asset to the greater Houston community with many thousands taking advantage of the sports of figure skating, ice hockey, and curling. Properly managed and maintained it would be able to operate in the black.

The Houston area is already deficient in the number of ice sheets that it has. Losing the Sugarland facility could be catastrophic! In my view, the hockey program will disintegrate if ice isn't available. Speaking as a hockey parent that has relocated for my job, I wouldn't have taken a role in a city that couldn't support my son's passion. Let's keep it alive!!

Youth hockey played an invaluable part of my sons growing up. The values they learned on the ice, and the energy they expended there were priceless!
