We, the undersigned citizens of Bremerton, wholeheartedly support an ordinance allowing Bremerton residents to raise chickens in their backyards.
We respectfully request our city council members to act now to change the City ordinance to legalize urban chickens in the backyards of residential zoning districts under certain restrictions.
Additionally, we encourage the council to address this issue before expenses are incurred from a public vote.

Let us have our hens! They are quiet and great for the garden. My neighbors are already fine with it so why do we need city hall permission.
I love chickens! My kids want to learn how to care for them. PLEASE let us do this.
Fresh eggs right in my own backyard would be amazing. Why is this even illegal still?
TOTAL NONSENSE that I cant keep a few hens on my own property. FIX THE ZONING LAWS.
Bremerton needs to get with the times. So many other cities already allow this without any issues.

We just want to be a little more self sufficient. Seems like a harmless change that would help a lot of families.
