Clothing Brands Should Make It Clear How Their Products Are Manufactured
If I were to ask you how your shirt was made, would you be able to tell me? Probably not. The creation of the products we purchase have a greater impact on the planet than we think. We need to start focusing on sustainability, and changing the brands of clothing we buy will bring us one step closer to a big change. The people we're throwing our money at DO NOT have us in mind like you thought they did. If companies were forced to TRUTHFULLY (*cough* H&M *cough*) tell us straight-up how our clothes were being made, whether they were eco-friendly or not, we would be able to make educated decisions and give our money to the right people. Now I don't mean that I'd have to click through 40 thousand different websites just to get an idea of how my $50 jeans were made, I mean PRINTED straight onto the label "THIS PRODUCT IS ECO-FREINDLY." This idea is just a small start to a big idea. We need to change before it's all too late, and too late is coming closer than you think.
