This would be a disaster for older and infirm people. RM's own figures show big increases in profits year on year. With the continuing growth of internet shopping & consequent increase in parcel business, there is absolutely no excuse for this!

Moving the post office would make life so much more difficult for locals who don't have cars:(

This is an essential part of our community and one that is growing. The alternative is not a viable option - 3 miles is simply too far for most people who are busy, have no car, are elderly or are simple unable to travel.

I lived in West Norwood for 28 years and used this sorting office frequently. In no way is Anerley local to West Norwood. West Norwood has a high percentage of people who are disabled or elderly. Please keep it open!

The sorting office needs to remain open as it is used & needed by residents of West Norwood!

This is highly inconvenient for elderly people and mums with children to travel so far to get their parcels it makes no sense. The sorting office is needed and there are many people who would suffer if it closed down.

I support our local sorting office workers in calling for the West Norwood office to be saved. This is a valuable service for the local community and the area is already inundated with new residential developments to the detriment of our facilities and services.

This is a very busy sorting office in an area not served by any other similar facility

This would significantly impact me as I receive a lot of parcels for work. I also have a lot of meetings in town so often have to collect from this sorting office. If it moves I will have to drive to collect them, which is clearly no good for me and no good for the environment or traffic.

Please keep this open.

This appears to be yet another example of Royal Mail reduction of costs by reducing local services. Unless RM introduce dedicated hourly delivery slots (as so many supermarkets are able to offer with ease) as part of its delivery time rearrangement option online, then this closure will make things more inflexible for local customers who cannot wait at home all day.
