Closure of West Norwood Delivery Office SE27

I hope the depot stays here in West Norwood! I don't have car and i do came to collect from there many times! Thanks

I am Pensioner and do not drive. I can walk to the West Norwood sorting office, but would have to get 2 buses to Penge! I am horrified at the thought of this great office that has served me extremely well for 32 years closing!

The guy in the office is great. Really friendly. I would not be able to go to Anerley to pick up missed parcels.

It would be hugely inconvenient to have to drive 3 miles every time a parcel/packet is not delivered.

I'm all for development etc but the logistical elements have to be looked at and not dismissed out of hand.

Three miles to collect parcels and packages is not practical, especially for those of us who do not/choose not to own private transport cars.

I would not want to travel 3 miles to pick up a parcel . Please rethink the closure of the West Norwood sorting office with the loss of jobs and inconvenience that would entail.

We have used this collection point for many years. It is close, convenient and the staff are helful and efficient. At a time when supermarkets are realising the value of smaller, local stores rather than distant large stores, it doesn't make sense to close local services. There are also environmental issues as we will have to use cars to get to Annerly. Please think again.

It would be incredibly inconvenient and irresponsible to close this sorting office. A new location 3 miles away would not serve the local or business community.

This is simply too far away. We can walk to the local sorting office. By moving this 3 miles away this means more journeys adding to the road congestion and pollution, without evening adding in the time and inconvenience factor. Keep it local !

I am a single working woman with health issues (anaemia, asthma, arthritis). I am often at work when a parcel is delivered. Due to health issues Anerley is too far for me to pick up parcels and carry it back by pubic transport (30mins plus travelling one way by pubic transport and an amount of walking)

I use this parcel collection point a lot and it would be not only very inconvenient but tragic for all if it closed down

I'm a new mum and I use the delivery office at least twice a week if not more. It would simply be impossible for me to walk further away. We absolutely need this office in west Norwood.

We live in West Norwood, most people walk to this centre to pick up packages that have not been able to be delivered. Moving this centre to Anerely is incomprehensible. And unfair. Anerley is a 30 minute bus ride away. It is NOWHERE near our community. Anerley is NOT our community. It is not the same area at all. It seems totaly ramdom. We certainly will not be able to go to Anerley to pick up our packages. It is not feasible to walk to a bus stop which is a no where near our house get a bus for 25 or 30 minutes to pick up a package and then do the same. We wont do this. So we will try to organize redelivery online. Which surely will create more work for you? I dont really understand why you want to move the centre. It seems like shooting yourself in the foot. It can only lead to your own demise. Keeping the centre links local people with their local post office service. This is surely the meaning of the postal service. Moving it miles away is a meaningless action as no one will be able to use it and so no one will use it. I can only think that the motivation behind this is to close this centre in the long term and to get rid of jobs. This is wrong.

Please do not move our post office they team are a vital point of the community and as a regular visitor to collect parcels I really do not want to travel large distances .I will need to travel on several buses to reach the proposed new site.

I live in West Norwood and often collect parcels from the Windsor Grove sorting office as I work full-time. I don't drive and don't want have to travel to Anerley by bus or train just to collect a parcel. The Windsor Grove sorting office is an essential service for West Norwood, and closing it would be detrimental to the community. Please reconsider this decision.

Live locally and use the post office a lot and I don't drive making it very difficult to travel further to collect post
