I think that the guy should be allowed to keep the sanctuary going. He is doing a great job.

These buildings are to do good and protect animals, not for commercial gain. They should be approved and his work endorsed

These birds need a home and have been given one.

It would be tragic for these animals to lose their home so surely something can be done given the circumstances.

NCC have a heart, Castleton is out in the countryside not in the middle of a town, the aviaries are hurting anyone. I wish I knew about the place sooner, would love to raise money for the birds.

If this lovely man is the only person in the area to look after these beautiful creatures - help him not hinder him

Newport council you should be ashamed of yourselves, he isn't doing any harm by caring after these birds not many people would care for as many birds and give them a loving and spacious home. and after all it is on a farm not like it's built in a terraced house garden they aren't disturbing anybody, have a heart and let them be in peace

Have the local council got nothing better to do? This man is doing a great job helping unwanted parrots and other birds and animals and not upsetting anyone, why can't Newport council just leave him be.

I had the pleasure of going to this sanctuary once with a friend. The place was amazing and every animal looked very well looked after and had good sized, well built avairys that I doubt they'd be lucky enough to get in their new homes.

There is an obvious need here for a sanctuary so if this has to be teared down then something needs to be put in its stead to house and care for these animals.

NCC don't be another thoughtless, heartless council.
