That's just typical of Newport council, if the chap was an immigrant there's no way this would be happening.

Amazing man to care for all these abandoned animals and birds. The enclosures are on his own land so with retrospective planning they should stay.

They should be more people like this that are willing to give up all there time to do something that they care about and have a passion for.

What a wonderful thing for this Gentleman to do caring for these beautiful creatures. How shameful he may have to take away their home it is on his own land after all.

What on earth are Newport Council doing? This man takes in animals that people can no longer look after and has given them a great life and you want to destroy their homes because of a planning dispute? I was under the impression that bird enclosures are not perm buildings and this really shouldn't be up for debate. It's sad that the council would see animals die then give a helping hand. Get your priorities in order Newport Council.

these people are doing a very kind thing for these animals, I personally know someone who could not keep their Parrot and thankfully he was taken in by these wonderful people to live a happy live. Leave them alone they are not hurting anyone yet Newport Council will hurt a lot of birds/animals if you make them take it all down xx

The world is gone bloody mad. Leave this man alone and fight the real blots on our landscape. This family are providing amazing facilities for these poor animals who otherwise would be contained in small cages. Unbelievable!

If you was to close this place down would you not then start yet another problem . Where would all these animals then be housed . What stress and strains would the animals go through yet again ? . may be the council needs to sit down with people who run Rainbow and realise just closing it down is not a option . I wish every one a good out come x
