Governor Polis: please shut down area park playground equipment
Children across Colorado are out of school until at least April 17th. The public has been encouraged to social distance to prevent the spread of Covid-19, but children are routinely out playing on the playground equipment at the local parks. Covid-19 lives the longest on metal surfaces (2-3 days). People aren’t listening to the requests to social distance so it’s obvious it’s necessary for further government action to be taken. The playground equipment at local parks needs to be closed down!

Saw a huge group at the park today and no one was keeping their distance. Tape it off now before someone gets sick.

Metal surfaces are everywhere on those slides.. makes no sense to leave them open while telling us to stay home.

PLEASE CLOSE THESE! My neighbors take their kids every single day like nothing is going on. It is so frustrating to watch.

We need to make every possible move to stop this virus and that means not allowing parents to let their kids play on the playgrounds- play outside at home!

Close the parks! If we wanted children to gather, we would have them in school on playgrounds!

It is too hard to social distance on park equipment.

This should have happened when schools closed.
