Bridgewater has already shown heaps of environmental leadership. This is another important way it can do that. We need all levels of government to understand action on climate change can't wait.

I believe that environmental impacts ought to be done prior to any industry turning sod. Toxic wastewater and land mass decimation are not acceptable byproducts, and to let them go unresolved is irresponsible government.

It's not hard to see that we have a problem with Climate change. Wells have gone dry that never went dry. Last summer was unbearable, stronger hurricanes, animals going extinct. Even colds and flu's are lasting longer. It's common sense you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know ,that we need action now. Not tomorrow but now. Declaring a Climate emergency tells the public we have a problem and we need to address it. If it's not declared an emergency no one will think it's a problem. So it is extremely important that we all sign this petition and get vocal. We want action. Whether it be clear cutting, or plastic bags , oil and gas. Their needs to be something done about store hours. Stores are open day and night 24/7 with their lights on burning fossil fuels with no one shopping. Anything linked to Climate change action is needed. All levels of government should declare this a Climate emergency. Don't wait until it's too late. Please sign this petition, we do not want to leave this world in a mess for the younger generation. They deserve a healthy and safe future. Please don't let them down. Don't let the corporations continue to destroy this planet. Their needs to be a separation of corporations and state. To the Town of Bridgewater, lets be leaders and declare a Climate emergency.
