Orange Council has decided to allow agistment on the Clifton Grove bridle paths, however they have decided that landowners should pay for the damage to fencing that these animals will cause. Livestock damage fencing and even though the council will turn a profit from this arrangement they have refused to contribute to the maintenance of this fencing. We believe that this arrangement is unfair to those sharing borders with the bridle paths and that the council should contribute to the cost of maintaining fencing. Why should residents be out of pocket for council's business arrangements?
