According to the original covenants we as residents were supposed to have access to the bridle paths for our own stock and council even provided gate access for this purpose. Surprisingly, copies of this covenant document is no longer available on the council website. One of the conditions of use was that no large animals were allowed as they could cause damage to fences!!!

My fences are broken and I did offer to pay for all materials and my done fenced it with the help of the Agistee. Never happened. Since the water flooding 2 yrs ago my property now has , weeds that were never there before . Bridle path also needs weed control

Our fences have been ruined by cattle and sheep that have been in the Briddle Track and we contacted council a number of times, fences were never repaired properly by contractor and so stock just kept coming in, apart from the damaged fences they would come up and ruin my gardens we had to pay to have a fence to protect our house block and gardens, because of someone else stock. We have never had stock and our fence is ruined from bridle track stock

Damages from stock on council lands which council is gaining a fee from should be council's responsibility.

Like Amy, I have had the fence adjoining the bridle path damaged by stock agisted on the bridle path and consider it unfair that Council do not contribute to the upkeep of the fences. The fence adjoining the bridle path is the only fence around my property that has sustained significant damage and it is clear that it is activities on the bridle path (caused by stock) that has resulted in this damage.

My fences have been damaged by council agistees sheep residing in the adjoining bridle path that also ate the remaining pasture on our property saved for my own horses during the drought resulting in us needing to buy in feed, which was considerably expensive and hard to get.
Unacceptable that council will not contribute to fixing the fences!
