I have been reading through all the stories you share about the comfort Cliff's music brought you during the darkest chapters of your lives. It is clear I am not the only one who feels this deep injustice when I think about how he was treated. Behind the scenes I am gathering more information to ensure the right people understand the depth of our anger.

Seeing so many of you join this effort has brought me to tears because I know how much Cliff has helped us through our own darkest nights. I never expected this much support but it proves I am not the only one who remembers the kindness he showed us when we had nothing left.

The way in which this man was treated is despicable - I have been a life long fan and have been fortunale enough to meet him - a very genuine thoughtful person and a great entertainer - his music has seen me through so much in my life Just love him

Unless there are exception circumstances, names should not be disclosed until charges have been made. Cliff's was a witch hunt and I feel for Paul also.

I fully support the petition to change the law. It's despicable what has happened to Sir Cliff.

Innocent until proven guilty - our rights should not be eroded.

Although primarily this petition is to do with the horrendous treatment of Sir Cliff Richard, it is also about everyones rights to privacy and fairness. This situation could happen to anyone if the BBC and Police are allowed to get away with this kind of treatment to an individual. Sir Cliff Richard is a legend and known to millions around the world, but he is also a human being with a family, who he cares deeply about. It has to be remembered that Sir Cliff Richard had not been spoken to by the Police, charged or arrested. At this stage shouldn't any investigation and search that is carried out be done sensitively and the name of any individual involved remain anonymous. The law of the land states "innocent until proven guilty" this has certainly not been allowed here. Sir Cliff Richard is presumed by the BBC and maybe lots of other people who believe what they have read is guilty until proven innocent. This could do untold damage to a person's character.
