To: Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees Go Ahead With High School Rezoning Option 3. The re-zoning is highly needed for Clements,as it is way over the campus capacity. Current FBISD High School Rezoning plans will send 316 students from Clement High School to Elkin High School which reduce the over capacity of Clement and ensure the best use of FBISD resources in this time of stringent budget deficit. The Fort Bend Independent School District, as an equal opportunity provider of high quality education is committed to utilize available facilities and resources efficiently. We request you to support the proposed High School Rezoning Option 3 as it is important to every taxpayer to utilize their tax dollars wisely. Please consider the following points and support us in this effort: FOLLOW FBISD STATED VISION AND ZONING PRINCIPLES – The proposed rezoning area are close to Elkins High School and the rezoning will promote better traffic pattern, reduce safety concern and reduce the transportation cost. As the part of the Riverstone subdivision is already zone to Elkins High School, the proposed rezoning of Riversotone subdivision and adjacent Heritage colony and Lake colony subdivions will help the EBISD to keep the neighborhood together and to keep-up with it VISION to prepare our community for a Global Tomorrow. REDUCE OVERCROWING OF COMPUS: As the proposed High School Rezoning Option 3 will move 316 students from Clements to Elkins, thereby reduce the overcrowding of Clement Campus and able to effectively utilize the excess capacity of Elkin High School facility. Though the proposed rezoning may affect some of the families, it is board’s responsibility to make an educated decision there by improve the safety and securityy of both the campus. FISCAL RESPONSIBILYT – FBISD is expected to make rezoning decision in a fiscally responsible manner keeping the best interest of the students and the FBISD school system as a whole. This is the time to reduce the cost and utilize the available capacity efficiently. Overcrowded campus will lead to subsequent incidental expenditure to support the operation. We request FBISD to take every effort to spend taxpayer’s money more wisely by dealing effectively with FBISD current and projected budget shortfall. Let your voice be heard. Sign the petition below. Tell FBISD, “adopt High School Rezone Option 3’.

clements has been way too crowded for years. its impossible to even walk in the hallways between classes. option 3 is the only one that actually makes sense.

RIDICULOUS that our kids are stuck in such cramped conditions when other schools have space. do the right thing and fix the zoning already.
