Clean up Graceda and Enslen Park

Let's keep the park clean

Something absolutely must be done. This is such a beautiful area in Modesto and Graceada is one of our boys favorite parks.

I stopped taking my kids to this park about a year ago after feeling unsafe during several visits. I have called the police to report activity while I was there. It is such a wonderful park and I would love to see it restored as a family friendly place in Modesto.

We can not take our children to the parks without fear for their safety. I try to run around the neighborhood but always encounter illegal activity and do not feel safe. The college area is such a desirable area to live in but is slowly becoming a scary, dirty area due to the transitent activity!

I have used this park for many years for my kids birthday parties in the past. At this point I wouldn't use or even recommend anyone to be subjected to the bad elements in or around the park. This use to be a beautiful and lush park that all families would feel safe using. It just amazes me the city would allow it to get this way.

Make our neighborhood safe again.

Time to claim our (neighbors) Park back !

Drug needles jettisoned into bushes and on property, screaming arguments at 4am (on a regular basis), and a hangout for the down and out--I have lived around Graceda Park for 10 years now and while I feel it is a jewel, it is also pushing a neighborhood to the edge. We bear the brunt of the riff-raf overflow from downtown, and I want to send a clear message that it is not ok to vandalize and set afire my community resources, it is not ok to have sex openly, it is not ok to yell obscenities and leave your dirty diapers everywhere. It is time for MPD to take the outlined demands seriously and help the Graceda and Enslen neighborhoods clean up by backing us up.

The homeless endanger the surrounding area with their petty theft and drug use and dealing. We don't let my sister do anything alone outside because they aren't trustworthy.

We once had a drug user jump into my sons swim lessons at Graceada. Our tax money pays for parks that we cannot use. Please keep our kids safe by enforcing laws at our parks

The city does not need to pay tax dollars to wake up the homeless in the park in the morning and clean up after the items they dispose of. I see it everyday. It brings danger to the families around the area. The drug use is out in the open. The park facilities its not available for families to use because of the homeless camping out.

Let's make our parks clean and safe,

I have two small children who can not enjoy use of our parks due to criminal activity. Instead of playing on the swings, slides and monkey bars we watch public intoxication, drug use, fights and heaps of trash, spent liquor bottles and drug paraphernalia. The cities parks need to be given back to its citizens and families.

I drive by both parks every day on my way to work and see close to 25 homeless people with tons of hauling devices heaped with trash and junk strewn all over Enslen park. It's an eyesore and needs to be cleaned up.

My husband and I used to enjoy taking the kids to concert in the park every summer, but we agreed not to go anymore because of the drunk homeless crowd that have started to take over! What a shame to see our parks and streets decline!

I have lived and worked in the college area my whole life- I have directly witnessed each one of the cons listed about the park and watching its decline is depressing. Time to clean it up!

Get it done clean em up and gettem out

I love this neighborhood but it is not the "crown jewel" of a park modesto claims it to be. I certainly don't feel comfortable walking home alone after a dinner downtown anymore
