My grandparents' home was at 15th & K. I grew up playing in Graceada Park. When my sons were small, they played there also. I love living in the College area! We need to take steps towards preserving what is good and beautiful in our neighborhood.

Don't stop there. Roosevelt, Garrison, and many other parks have been taken over as well.

I thought parks were closed at night, not to be used as parking for people living out of their cars, next to elementary school on Claremont. Kids walk past people half dressed in AM on way to school.

It is not only a problem at Graced and Enslen, but also Pike and Garrison in our area. Not as bad but still there. I support the petition because we use those parks also.

At some point, the folks and neighbors that actually PAY for our lovely parks should take precedent over the group that is there in force now. Parents do not want to take their families there anymore.
This group is very predatory in our neighborhoods. They do not respect the public or private property around them, or the laws that govern these parks.
We are losing these parks, one day at a time, one neighbor's bad experience at a time. It's time to make the parks accessible to families again.

I own a home within a few blocks west of the park and eork s few blocks south of it. Issues with transients are getting worse every day. Unsafe is now how I feel about living and working here. Looking to leave after 24 years because of inaction by the city and law enforcement. Sad good people are being forced out of our homes and jobs because we're afraid.

I support with the understanding of the importance of Graceda Park but I do not support if illegal activities occurring at Graceda move to other neighboring parks, like Roosevelt and the Virginia Trail. The city should be mindful of all the wonderful services for those less advantaged that are placed in areas where this type of activity will take place. What did we expect when Doctors was made the country hospital?

I would like to feel safer about walking and taking my daughter to the park to play, like I did when I was little.
