This kind of illegal dumping would never be overlooked by the city in Rockridge. It needs to be addressed in East Oakland now.

I live a stone's throw from the Mayor's house. all of a sudden our neighborhood problems with trash dumping near Sausal Creek vanished. Coincidence?

I've lived in oakland 16 years and east Oakland 6. I see the cycle of endless dumploads that come back as soon as they are collected. Are dump fees that high? I agree that public needs to change their perception that this is acceptable.

i live off of San Leandro street by High Street. People dump all kinds of garbage on the streets, and the tracks and on the sidewalk. When I lived in Temescal the streets were cleaned regularly. Why not here? And if someone could fix the potholes it would save my tires from regular damage.

It's utterly ridiculous that this is happening in our neighborhood. Having a vibrant community starts with a solid foundation. If this is not handled, it will definitely destroy what people have built in East Oakland. Please act now.

BART should be added to this list of stakeholders -- there is a ton of trash dumped literally right outside the Coliseum BART parking lot every day -- on the roadside embankment, along Hegenberger, and on the streets outside the newly fenced (and fee-based) parking lot. BART needs to play a bigger role in the area around its stations -- security, sanitation, and cleanliness/attractiveness.

The garbage collectors even add to the problem, dropping trash in the streets and not bothering to clean it up. Ridiculous!
