As a new resident to the area I want to insure that some of my tax dollars are spent keeping the area clean, safe and a place I am proud to live in and not have to be embarrased when friends come to visit.

I live on Mounbtain Blvd. between Edwards and Golf Links - we are plagued with large dumps of all kinds of materials.

It saddens me daily to see the amount of trash strewn about on our streets. And on the days of garbage/recycling pickups lots of trash and recycling is left in the trucks' wake.

Perhaps a more aggressive campaign with Waste Management's pick-up services. Perhaps not everyone knows.

It might help to make dumping garbage such as we see on our streets, more accesible and reasonable! I don't know how much it would help but I do know that people drive around to dump regular garbage, let alone mattresses, etc. I saw a woman driving a big, new SUV stop in the middle of the street by a big dumpster and take a huge bag of garbage out of the back and put it in the dumpster. I was behind her and had to wait. Now sure how to solve that!

As a homeowner and Oakland native we have to do SSOMETHING to encourage people to dispose of trash the RIGHT way. Just because we are in the FLAT lands does not make us less deserving that others

Appalled by the increasing, vast amounts of trash dumped by a**holes, who think it's okay to drop off their waste on the onramps and elsewhere on our streets and neighborhoods. Has to be deliberate "night drops" so as to be undetected. Empathize with the city with so many challenges, and add this to the list. Thank you!
