Oakland is filthy; Millsmont is a pigsty of trash. The on and off ramps (Seminary, 580) are filled with trash. Very demoralizing. Why not put up signs, "No Littering, $100.00 fine).

much needed. San Leandro and Oakland need to work together for neighbor clean up and crime stopper. Just moved to San Leandro . I have a great neighborhood that is 2 streets from bad. 80th-98th need help

My husband and I have lived in the Broadmoor district of San Leandro, next to East Oakland, for 21 years. We are dismayed that Oakland has not given the attention to East Oakland that other districts in your City receive. Please provide the resources requested in this petition.

Agree with everything in the petition and will add one major concern: pedestrian safety. Where is traffic enforcement? Too many drivers are seemingly unaware of the danger their reckless driving is posing to themselves and others. Speeding is rampant on local roads,

As a worker in East Oakland I believe our students and families deserve to live in a clean and sanitary environment like the rest of Oakland. We can involve the community by creating community clean up days. There is a way to get this done.

Along with a clean-up blitzkrieg in East Oakland, the city must also address the growing homeless population who have been displaced as a result of accelerated gentrification. These individuals have no option but to live in the squalor of East Oakland streets. The tent city on the East side of the lake is just yards away from Dewey Academy, A HIGH SCHOOL!!. Another group of homeless take shelter under the bridge, illuminated by the city's investment in pretty, electronic lights. The lack of attention the city is giving to East Oakland in the form of resources to its residents is appalling.

Going from the Lake Merritt/Downtown Oakland area down to East Oakland is shocking. As if it were another city, a forgotten one! Please do not pay less attention to us, we deserve CLEAN streets as well.
