I was looking for things I can do to help solve the garbage and littering issue in this city. Thank you for taking the initiative. I am willing to volunteer

It is shameful the amount we pay in taxes and see the money allocated to the 'nicer' areas of town. My neighborhood is sadly lacking in maintenance and cleanliness with loiterers parked along side the road doing drug deals leaving their litter. My neighbors are nice respectable people and we do our best but its a losing battle

We need to have a cultural shift to make people realize that throwing garbage out their car windows as they drive is not okay.

Our neighborhoods are such a mess. I did a lot of traveling this summer. Other cities seem to be able to keep their streets clean.

I clean the space in front all the time... if more people get involved... we can all make our neighborhood clean...

We pay the same taxes as the rest as Oakland and deserve to receive the same amount of city resources. It is absolutely unreasonable to take my ~$10K in property taxes and funnel it all to support neighborhoods other than my own. Stop ignoring East Oakland as a lost cause and help us clean it up and revitalize it for all the residents, old and new.

Placing more "No dumping" signs might not stop illegal dumping, but would be helpful to reduce it.

I support this claim. I'd like to see some media attention-ad campaign to address trash in its place, make Oakland beautiful. Animated images of trash out the car window flying back in and put in a proper receptacle. We need a campaign to seriously address the issue with media on board.

Please clean up the garbage and weeds along freeway 580 exits in East Oakland. Especially 35th Ave it's a disgrace.

The illegal dumping / littering in Oakland is DISGUSTING. Particularly in the hills, where it's getting worse and almost seem to be deliberate, provided the items of litter that line the main arteries [and some unbeaten paths] of the hills:(white styrofoam cups and white napkins have become a part of 80% of the Oakland Hills landscaping). People are now dumping onto the horse trails! A few months back, someone threw a stove over the ledge onto the trail! This could've killed someone! The other day I almost drove over an accordion on Skyline! That it a prime indicator of an out of control problem!

Stop overlooking low income neighborhoods! Treat ALL of Oakland the way you do affluent white areas.

Enact a law that forces home owners to take care of the trash to the center line of the city street. This would force residents to pick up in front of their houses. Also, a majority of garbage comes from trucks. Truck owners throw their trash in the back of their trucks and it blows out on the road. Charge truck drivers a fee to help clean.

Looking forward to cleaner streets and an increase in the amount of free bulky item pick ups for us residents who keep gathering this trash in an attempt to keep out general areas litter free.
