I have played on red clay many times and love it. If Har-Tru is anything similar I am all for it.

Super supportive especially if red clay, for my 3 junior JONMs.

As a junior it would be great to have some clay courts to train on for a few reasons - would be better prepared for that surface when important tournaments like provincials and selection events are held on them as well as for the overall benefits that come with clay - longer rallies which would help promote consistency, endurance and better technique.

Great idea! I've played on clay many times and I love it. Longer rallies, easier on the body, better for training. Will help improve mental toughness and endurance. I support this 100%.

Clay is very forgiving on your body and will allow players to play who cannot take the hard court pounding. As an avid supporter of the game. I highly recommend we add 4 clay crts. the members will love them and give them options to enjoy different surfaces. Many clubs are adding them and players love to play on them. It could add 5 years to ones playing time in life, very important for every one.

I would be interested to hear what our tennis professionals thought about this. Their opinions and leadership on this would be helpful!

A club such as JTC should be able to offer its membership a choice of court surface to play on.

Having played on different surfaces including clay all over the World I can attest to the body benefits of it. It is a surface that lends to playing longevity and potential to minimize injuries. While it's downside may be maintenance & a little dirtier it is still a great surface to have available if not cost prohibitive.

I fully agree that a Club of our stature should have courts surface options!

Strongly in favour of. Have played on the 2 different types of clay that JTC has had in past and have maintained clay at JTC. Very body friendly, less body jarring and is alot of funto play on-longer rallies and strategy.

I definitely support clay courts in Jericho. I’ll forward this email to a few people that are much more computer lingo then me so the they could forward to others.
