I feel that iPads have become a crutch for teachers and kids are spending WAY too much time on them. I am ok with a very small portion of their day being used on an iPad for research and such but it is consuming their education!!! I feel like parents are saying this over and over and we are not being heard!!!

Due to heavy usage of iPads, childrens are not shot interest to read the books rather shows lot of interest on playing some mobile apps. Also, watching more time on electronic devices will have huge impact on eyes too. Please consider all the possible consequences of using iPods.

Incoming Kinder, not at all in favor of iPad usage. It disconnects students from the teacher. Additionally, the concerns for improper usage, addiction.

I 100% support this. My 2nd Fraser came home from school terrified of some viral video about a scary little girl called “Momo”.

I am strongly against to higher screen time and promoting the culture that iPad or relative electronics mediums as education tools at the younger age

I have 4 children in the district and all say they do not prefer learning on the iPad at school or taking tests/quizzes. I do believe there are educational aspects, but based on my kids’ feedback to me I am signing this.

What happened to old fashioned learning? Until Eanes ISD can get a handle on appropriate use of iPads and other technologies in the classroom they should discontinue their usage, and/or offer an iPad free classroom setting or allow parents to opt out of screen time for their children.
