Thank God I refused antidepressants when they were suggested to me last week. It is a crime to prescribe these MIND ALTERING DRUGS to people who have ZERO history of mental illness such as myself, I went in for a completely different thing only to have a doctor push this garbage on me. I'm angry that those with Medical Degrees prefer to be PUPPETS for big pharma, rather than be an honest person and look after the health and well being of people.

I have been taking effexor xl for years and decided to go from 300mg to 150mg with the help of my doctor. I missed a dose yesterday on accident and I feel like I want to crawl out of my skin and I can't stop crying. All I have been able to do the last two days is sleep. Crippling side effects. Stay away from this "medication". Big pharma could care less about your well being as long as they're making a profit.

I was prescribed sertraline (zoloft) for my panic attacks and depression after Going through some very traumatic life events, I have a one year old to care for and was encouraged by my doctor to take antidepressants as 'the responsable thing to do'. I instantly had a severe reaction to the medication but was encouraged to 'power through'. After just two weeks I had suffered : severe nausea, diarrhoea, rashes, headaches, insomnia, jitters, agitation, confusion, memory loss, cramps, dehydration, weight loss, migrane, incontinence, mood swings, bouts of Aimlessly speeding about from room to room confused and panicked, It made looking after my child very hard. Kidney pain, breathing difficulties, cough...One night I was scared I would stop breathing. It left me feeling frightened that it had permanently damaged my body. It was aweful. I can't believe this drug is legal. Such a destructive drug marketed for people who are vulnerable. Shame on them.
