Take Effexor, awful side effects like constantly sweating, nausea, weight gain to name a few

Effexor nearly killed me via hemorrhaging, and doctors are ignorant of the need to taper slowly off it. They think withdrawals are relapses. Idiots. Careless & negligent!

I have been personally affected by antidepressants.

My husband was put on each of these drugs over a period of 15 years. Then, after he developed a tolerance for each one the psychiatrist cut him off and he returned to the original problem alcohol. During these 25 years there were many problems and I now know the drugs caused many of them.

I was on Paxil for 35 years, and finally, after a grueling period of withdrawal was put on Prozac to transition me off Paxil. On Prozac for three years now. All kinds of health issues possibly related to use of these drugs! Now I am dealing with dementia and suicide ideation. Something needs to be done about these drugs! My mother suffered from several conditions that were only more problematic due to new issues or add’l complications. The antivan made her unre-sponsive like a zombie with no control in a deep state of lethargy that was frightening. She was very difficult to wake up or move at all because of lack of muscle tone and disorientation. I refused to allow its administration again despite the proddings of nurses.

My provider prescribed Klonopin for sleep issues. I took it roughly 2-3 times a week for about 2 years. The withdrawal was the worst 10 months of my life. It started with waves of anxiety and chills, and culminated in roughly 2 months of non stop panic attacks that decreased over a period of 10 months. I had my last panic attack over 3 years ago, and although I suffer some general anxiety and PTSD from the withdrawal, I am finally back to normal. I was not told just how much this drug would alter my brain chemistry. If you are going through withdrawal, know that it gets better! I had anxiety, chills, disorientation, confusion, vertigo, depersonalization, derealization, hallucinations, insomnia, nightmares, and suicidal thoughts. Keep tapering and take your mind back!
