I was put on Ativan without being told they were tranquillizers... I did not know the Benzodiazepanes were another name for them. They are very addictive and difficult to come off. I did it very slowly after joining a group and I was the only one out of 30 people who came off and actually stayed off but it was no joke. I asked the Doctor at the time when I had seen 'That's life' and there was a programme all about Ativan and lots of folk were suing their doctors. It was not until I saw that I saw that this tablet was a tranquillizer and I was horriffied. Please stop this drug and others like it stopped being prescribed.

My father was a victim of antipsychotic while having dementia. He passed away shortly after being administered lorazepam.

Both my boyfriend and I have been negatively and substantially affected by the side effect of psych meds. It needs to stop.

Venlafaxine/Effexor is by the manufacturers with the full knowledge of the potentially life threatening (suicide) and definite negative life altering effects. The manufacturers "educate" pharmacists, doctors, psychiatrists about prescribing this drug to people, but fail to properly educate them so they can let their patients make an INFORMED choice before deciding to take this drug. They leave the prescribers either completely in the dark or in denial about the prison they are placing people in who trustingly/desperately decide to take this drug. Virtually no-one is told about the side effects or the torture in trying to come off this medication. The manufacturers make only limited different dosages (purposely) to make the withdrawal process even harder. They should be ashamed of their actions and for the lives they are ruining, AND for those that have been lost to suicide as a direct result of their "work"

Effexor has killed my sex drive, gives me fatigue, weight gain, weird dreams, makes me day dreamy and short term memory loss, trying to quit gives me brain zaps, suicide thoughts, flu and uncontrollable crying.

I've taken several types of these medications and still do. Have too.
