Bas mitzvahs are a huge milestone in a girl’s life as she moves from childhood into adolescence, and this transition offers a unique opportunity to remind our daughters of the many people who have supported them along the way including the classmates they have grown up with since they are five. These girls have spent more time with their school friends than with any other peer group, and giving them the chance to celebrate one another models the values we want them to carry forward: noticing someone else’s blessings, sharing in their joy, and showing up for one another with kindness. I understand that not every family is able to make a party, and I would be honored to discreetly and respectfully coordinate fundraising for anyone who would benefit from that support. No girl should miss the chance to feel seen, celebrated, loved, and cherished at this stage of her life. There are so few moments we can create for our children while they are still young let’s maximize this one by lifting one another up and modeling unity and goodness. If you agree with implementing a new policy in which the class is invited to the Bas mitzvah parties please sign your name. Thank you
it makes me so sad to think of anyone being left out during such a special time. these girls have been together forever and they really should be able to celebrate each other!

I agree that every girl should be able to celebrate this milestone with their childhood friends and classmates. I remember mine and it wouldn’t have been the same if I didn’t have my classmates surrounding me celebrating this beautiful milestone we have been given. Please reconsider allowing these girls to celebrate alongside all of their classmates as to not have hurt feelings if they weren’t invited.
