I'm a former student of Ashford University and the degree i got I can't work in that field because they say you need more training. They lied about the degree that I would find work in the field I was schooling for.

I recently graduated and have very high debt. Ashford did not disclose or inform me that my classes and credits would not be recognized in my state of New York. The representative that signed me up for classes was not transparent at all. I only found this out when I wanted to transfer to another school in New York. the counselor stated that I have wasted three years and should just stay in Ashford till I graduated. This was very devastating to me, on how so many accredited schools have had so many issues with transferring credits received at Ashford. This is very upsetting.

This school lied to me about the cost of tuition. Was told I could not change to the degree I wanted until took a few more classes with a degree I did not want from another university. Did not finish and withdrew because I did not want to continue with degree I did not want. Plus they billed fed loans over 12,000 and shows that over $1400 was stipend and it did not come back to me so I have no idea where that went. This has caused financial issues for me.

I just graduated and I have so much starting with the fact that they were university the Rockies when we started and then they switched and that’s not the university that we chose to go to and then they denied my dissertation that I’ve been working the whole time at the University Rockies which prolonged my stay and tuition. Then they fired my professor who was my chair for my dissertation without letting me know.

They bought my Master's affiliate school and continue to hold my diploma hostage. I was misled by the staff at Ashford and completed a Master's program that didn't help get me licensed in my field of expertise in the state that I reside.

As a student of Ashford University it started out OK but then they started doing things that were inappropriate. They miss used my loan fund, I have severe anxiety and depression that would sometimes affect my class work. I told them about it and they told me what department to give the information to but when I tried to get through to that department I could never get through or a response from that department. They were supposed to put my classes on hold but didn't, therefore they used funds from my loans for classes I was locked out of and were supposed to be on hold. Also, when I tried to make payments to Ashford for over and above my loan amounts, I couldn't do it. They locked me out, changed my passwords and made it impossible to make a payment. When I tried to contact them I got the same story and run around. As of today I have not heard from them but to only get a notice that they have turned me over to collections for $6000 dollars plus I still have to pay off the loans. The $6000 is over and above what they got from my loans, it's what Ashfords says I owe them directly and it keeps going up because they are adding interest.

I am a Vet. Vet counselor at Ashford told me it would cost me $12,000 to complete my bachelor degree. It cost me $32,000. Still can't find a job in the field they talked me in to.

Ashford University garnished my checks while I was working at Walmart to the tune of $10,000.00. They ruined my credit. I think it is still on my record that I did not pay the loan, which I did. I never received my degree. I know this was a long time ago, but if at all possible, can your company help me.
