I was a former student, dropped out because of fraud, over promising and continuing to have me retake classes.

Not only do they engage in predatory enrollment practices there are professors who falsify grades.

I explain to Ashford that their student portal was compromised, and someone was changing my password they did no investigation. I fail a class behind them not investigating and had to drop all my classes Even my Communication Professor knew that my student portal was compromised.

I agree to what I have read and yes they did not do as what they said they would and could do.

I graduated with hopes to sit for my CPA exam. It took me YEARS to get them to work with me and the state of Illinois to cross reference classes that filled the state's requirements. By then, I was burnt out. My window of opportunity shut.

I explained to the person who called themselves a student financial counselor for Ashford University the career I wished to pursue and why. He failed to inform me that I would age out of beginning a career in that particular field before I was expected to graduate. He also had me file for the maximum amount of student loans both subsidized and unsubsidized in case my FASFA wasn't approved and assured me that the remainder would be applied to my education or returned to the loan providers. It was sent to me via Stipend which I thought was my FASFA which I used to pay for books and other living expenses for which I had already been struggling with. I was charged $1000 non refundable fee to access the student portal for classes. I was a single Mom of 3 kids living on $14000 per year and being promised a better life for myself and my children. I was told that my loans would be forgiven due to my circumstances and income before I ever enrolled. I was in my second semester when I lost regular access to a computer with internet access suddenly and was unable to continue online courses. In less than 2 semesters I had accrued $9500 in student loan cost which I couldn't afford. I was barely able to keep food on the table, a vehicle running or legal, and struggling to provide basic necessities for my kids. Many nights I went to bed hungry so my kids would have enough to eat. Over the time I couldn't afford my loans my income tax returns were withheld however I haven't seen any statements that credited my accounts with those payments. At the current rate I will have paid nearly $30,000 for less than 1 year of college and of which only 6 of those credits are transferable to any other colleges for higher education. Between the two loans I am paying 12.8 percent interest. I was a poor single Mom with a dead husband and an ex who never paid child support. I needed a hand up, not a debt to continue to hold me down long after my children had left home and no degree. I some

I was an online student from 2010 to 2011 - I made Dean's list for the classes I signed up for, and then they signed me up for summer classes without speaking to me first. I happened to have lost access to my internet that summer, and so I found out late. By the time they withdrew-failed me, and when I called to ask to get it fixed, he told me I wasn't allowed to, and I owed money for the materials and classes.

I began attending Ashford University in April 2011. Their tactics and added questionable fees were astounding. The bulk of my student loans are from this corrupt college.

I enrolled at Ashford in 2011 to almost 2013 and was only halfway to my BA in education. The financial "counselor" told me that I would have YEARS to pay back any a crewed loans and that "every student she'd enrolled had quit their jobs to focus on school and use ONLY the Federal loans and Pell grants to live off of!! They also kept billing me AFTER I withdrew from classes (so I could get a job and feed my family)! I've tried several times over the years to get it situated THRU Ashford, but to no avail! Can anyone help me recover the loan amount to pay it off?! Can they discharge my loans - since it was their wrong doing that has me bankrupt?!

Ashford lied to me about what a great job I will get when I graduate. I have to work to jobs just to pay all my bills and I am not even working in my degree field

I owe double the amount they told me my tuition would be. I couldn't even find a job that was specific to my degree. I owe close to if not over 100,000 in student loans and I don't even know how it got there, just from this one school.

I was worried about student loan debts as a Mom of two that I wanted to put through college. I only needed two years to finish my degree, I didn't want to go in severe debt for two years and not be able to help my children because of high student loan payments. I specific through out and commented, so this won't cost $30K for two years and it will be much lower correct? And confirmed it would not, after I received my degree I had $36K in student loan debt. I was a military wife that they used.
