I grew up skating there. I don't skate much anymore but I would want kids to have the same experience I did.

Pathetic the city shut down a park that they could have prevented. Man up to the mistake and RE-OPEN the park! Keep shredding guys. -Skater from Los Angeles California

My wife and I lived in Palm Bay when the kids were using the skate park. It kept them off the streets. Open it back up, what you have here is a technicality, which can be remedied by the city.

Palm Bay needs GSZ to keep the kids active, in a clean, safe environment. Much better than the alterative.

You should not close this park. A city has a responsibility to provide recreation for the youth. Not all youth play basketball, football or soccer. Please reconsider your decision. I use to take my son to this park, he is now graduated from college and working as a scientist. I attribute much of his happy childhood to having a place like the skate park.

Grew up riding my bike at this wonderful skatepark, and watched it evolve. GSZ would be a very missed/mourned entity in the area, with many other options also closing, I would not be surprised to see other "illegal" places being more readily used to suffice the want to skate and ride. I do hope the city opens their eyes, to what their actions can/will do, and lines of communication to rectify the situation. Keep up the good fight Dan!

Physical activity, through supervised sports, keeps young people motivated to be involved and out of trouble. This should be a top priority for the city.
