It's amazing how nowadays people with all talents can have a place to fit in. In school you have the intellectual students in mathelete competitions, atheletes competing in their favorite sports on the court or on the field, and gifted musical arts students participating in choir, band, or theatre. Although I may not be from the area, I can guarentee that this skate park is being put to good use by the kids that go there every day and enjoy every last minute of it. It would be a shame to take something away from those who find the place most dear to their hearts and have a drive, a passion for skateboarding. I hope the city will reconsider closing this skate park and renegotiate the terms on keeping it up and running. Where I'm from , we had a very tough time gainning the city's support in building a skate park for the skaters that lived in the area. When we finally raised enough money and people to build the skate park, you could see the community working together to make what was once our dream a reality. Over the past few years from its beginning I've seen how the skaters have come together in my area and formed bonds with each other, created a small community with each other, and become not just friends, but like family. I hope your city will take in account the benefits of keeping such a vibrant and lively attraction going and take into consideration the impact it has on the countless lives of those involved. I wish you the best of luck.

GSZ is a staple in Florida sports. Dan has produced athletes that almost defy description, and both he (and they) have become legendary in skateboarding. Closing this park is remarkably short-sighted and foolish-- the city should celebrate having such an incredible institution calling Palm Bay home.

I grew up in Melbourne and the skate park was not only a healthy way to spend time with my friends, but it is some of the best memories of my life. I want younger generations to experience the same.

My brother and I grew up in Skate parks. Every child deserves the right to a safe place to follow their passions in life. Skating helps so many people, young and old, to cope with everyday stresses and fuels healthy hobbies in their lives. I urge you to keep this skatepark open!
Re open gsz
