- I am proposing that the city of Albany adopt a county wide mandatory curfew for minors ages 14-19 yrs old. With the exception for working evenings/sports activities. The proposed time will vary with age. With the latest time of 11 pm for ages 18/19 while employed. This curfew is to act as a safety precaution NOT a punishment. These kids are wild, & they shouldn't be outside at 12 & 1 in the morning with out parents. I use to work in a local grocery store overnights & I don't understand why 12 & 13 year olds are trying to steal from a grocery store at night at 2/3 in the morning. They peppered sprayed our night security & I don't understand why or how they got it.
Times seem a little early for everyone involved. I believe 11 pm is a fair curfew for those between ages 13 and under and 18. There is nothing going on in the streets that are safe and legit past the hour of 11 pm.
For all those that are young and work should have some lead way....everyone shouldn't be corrected for others wrong doing we do still have good kids out here they just misguided
We need this in Albany. There is too much killing for no reason and our children are suffering for it. This senseless violence needs to end now! And it starts with us!
I worry a lot about my daughters safety not from actual killers but teens they are out of control with no parents watching over them especially in the summer
I stand by this 100 percent. Albany we need to do something about this ..... IMMEDIATELY ..... Save the youth

Invest funding into some positive teen centers. Have former gang members and adults that can relate to todays youth run them. Change is needed in this city.
