Im against having the dog park and skate park at the park where the armory is- it’s wasteful to tear that building down- there’s plenty other places you can put it-

I don't agree with destroying a perfectly good and usable building.
Nor do I agree with the skate park being put in its place.

The actions of the council members that voted to tear down Armory buildings and remove baseball fields in order to put in a dog park and skate park, that no-one wants, Parks Board, neighbors, etc. This behavior is abysmal at best, criminal at worst. Stop this folly now, and act like you know how the process for these things is legally supposed to work, not have it come as a bad surprise.

Our tax monies can be better spent building the proposed sites on land that DOES NOT need to be razed first to be built. Listen to the citizens.

I believe that the city council of Garland needs to stop their plans for Central Park and the issue needs to be placed before the CITIZENS to be voted on. The city council is wasting tax dollars and not following what is in the taxpayers best interests.

Don't like the way this decision was made by the 5 council members--especially our District 2 representative.

I believe an in-depth study needs to be done on the projected skate / dog park.
In 2008, the City of Rowlett City Council voted down a City skate park due to drug use, alcohol use, fights, and criminal mischief. The skate park was causing more trouble then good. And Jermal can say all day long that Rowlett’s failed because the lack of involvement from the city, but that is absolutely false and misleading.
I would recommend to use the building to good use or selling it and make profit to use towards infrastructure or something else to benefit the citizens.

Make the change
NO Dog/skate Park!
Let the normal process work!
Worst location possible!
