Although I have lived in Henderson for only 10 years, I have grown to feel this is my hometown. Hopefully the city council will do the right thing.

When I was younger I stayed in Henderson I knew Henderson better then my home town how i refuse to come to Henderson I feel safer going to Durham. The city needs to do something to bring the old Henderson back.

Henderson has great potential to be an ideal "Hometown". It's time to get tough on crime and clean up our neighborhoods!

Henderson really needs help. It's gotten so bad that I hardly will go there anymore. I'll go some place further away from home just to bypass Henderson! Drugs have ruined it!

May God bless the people trying to build Henderson back up. The town is so trashy, best of luck.

I'm also in support in demolishing Henderson itself. I think this should also be taken into consideration.

Henderson needs to change. Women shouldn't have to be scared to stop and get gas at night. I have counted numerous times where people have asked me if I wanted to buy drugs, in the daylight and night

I think Henderson would be wise to institute a maintenance tax on all public and private buildings and public and private housing. The tax can be deferred by owners by subtracting from their maintenance tax bill any provable expense incurred in maintaining that property. This would force owners to maintain their property, rent it, sell it, or tear it down. Sitting on deteriorating structures by owners is bad for everyone involved in the long run.

I no longer live in Henderson, but I still own property. Henderson was a great town to grow up in and it saddens me to ride thru and see what has become of our once lovely town. Many of the homes posted on FB look like total tear downs, but some look like they could be charming homes with some much needed attention.
