Very recently, the Government of Ontario has passed a Bill (Bill #115) that dictates that Teachers within the Province cannot Strike if work conditions are poor, or negotiate their contract that binds them to their job, which means that the government can take away any bonuses in their pay check, for instance, if they go through more schooling, they could end up making the same as someone who has had minimal education. It also means a lot of other stuff which directly interferes with the rights that have been set out for them by the Labour Board. Therefore, Extra-Curricular Activities have been stopped in order to show the Government that they have made the wrong decision in this matter. The Teachers have tried negotiations with the government, but the government apparently felt that their negotiations weren't quite enough. If we can get enough support, we can stop this! We can once again achieve the freedom we once had! However, we NEED support from everyone we can get it from! So please sign your name on this petition to show, that you feel Bill 115 is wrong, and it should be repealed.
