Citizens within the City of Centeron: Against the Rezone of Multi-Family Housing on W Fish Hatchery & N Vaughn

We moved to this street in Centerton and appreciated the small neighborhood feel. We wanted to move away from the appartment atmosphere. Even though our house is close to 102, Shane Dr. and Blake Dr. are safe enough for children to play near. If you increase the number of cars and people in the surrounding area that safety and small neighborhood feel cannot be maintained.

Putting high density housing on this land will negatively impact home values of all the neighborhoods around it as our roads become clogged with the extra traffic and our back yards become the window view of neighboring apartment buildings.

I will be a centerton resident as of Sept 10.

Leave our residential neighborhoods alone.

I'm having a difficult time understanding why this area is being considered for high density housing. There are two major roads that are still only two lanes. The 102 and 279 (Centerton and Vaughn) can barely accommodate the traffic they have right now. How is high density housing supposed to alleviate that problem? It seems like the city and its leaders are more concerned with packing people in than building infrastructure for the current problems we are experiencing. Also, I have three small children who play outside all the time. I don't want Monroe Street as a through street to the 102. I bought a home here because it is blocked off and safe for them. Using Monroe as an outlet is the worst possible outcome for this neighborhood. Having been an apartment dweller for over a decade I know how those tenants drive. I'll save you the suspense, they can be reckless! The city of Centerton will continue to grow, but this is the wrong way. Solve some problems like traffic first. Don't destroy my love of this city and neighborhood by pushing an apartment complex nobody but the builder wants.

I don't want this apartment complex across the street from my house. There are already apartment complexes being built up the street on hwy 279 and some are also in the making across the street from the Centerton Neighborhood Market. I think that is enough. I go outside to sit on my front porch every morning to watch the sunrise and every night after work to take in the nice, peaceful air. If those apartments go in, they are going to take away the nice small town feel that is Centerton. I moved out here because it's nice and peaceful. I also moved out here because it is a nice small town where the people are sweet and they make you feel welcome. I know money talks, but I know there is another place where these can be built. There's already a lot of traffic going up and down on hwy 279 as it is. For instance, the morning commute is already difficult and it always seems to get worse. This is also an increase for accidents and children that play in this neighborhood are at risk. I have children and as a parent I worry for their safety. In my opinion, this is a great town to live in and if these go up, not only will they create chaos, but they will make Centerton lose its charm.

Please reconsider the plans. We have a new apartment complex already being built next to us and would like to keep our property value from declining. The traffic will undoubtedly increase to an unmanageable amount. I feel the sense of security will go down in the neighboring neighborhoods. Please do not allow this to happen.

Terrible terrible idea putting apartments of any kind at that location.

I am opposed to the location and plan to give entry through 2 small neighborhoods.

I do not support the proposal to rezone this property.

In case any one was wondering Mayor Bill thinks this will have no affect to our property value..... he would gladly accept a through street next to his home of a 1200 unit apartment complex. So if any one thought our elected official would be of any assistance.... it is a huge NO!!!!!! This is ridiculous, would have never bought the property had I known.

No access to subdivisions to the North should be allowed IF this development goes through. Access is possible via 279 or Main Street with openings to the development via Fish Hatchery Road. But even with that, I STRONGLY OPPOSE that sort of development on said acres.

NO WAY can the infrastructure handle this plan!!

I just bought a house on Bradley St. Closed 9 days ago. I was never told about this. You know what that smells like. My son and grandson (4 yr old) live on Bradley St. There are many young children on this st. How much per head are the politicians planning on selling them for?
