We had more than 1500 signatures against Rixhard Reeves digging his burrow pits to sell the soil to the landfill. The commission still voted yes, this is the good ol boy system. The best we got was the promise that no construction vehicles would use our main road into the subdivision and no blasting. However people heard the words "private lake" stocked with fish and almost half of them bailed out of the petition. These people know what to say and do.
Mr reeves moved equipment for my wedding last year and sent me A gorgeous bouquet of flowers and calls from time to time to make sure his crew is following orders. The only orders I do not believe they are following is the mosquito control as they are completely out of hand this year, and using the watering system to control the dirt and dust. I've spent more than 1500 on chemicals this summer have to vacuum nearly every other day algae grows comstantly even with algae control my brand liner and pimp will likely have to be replaced by next summer because it's had to work so hard this summer.
Really I oppose this but in reality. I sorta doubt you'll get what you want unless enough of you on this petition are one of those hoity tooth good ol boys who pay off a commoner
Best of luck. We got lucky with an old man who just wanted to sell dirt.

No way should a facility like this be put in a residential area! For us farmers we also are looking out for our livestock, they noise and smoke will effect their health as well! I also do not want this area zoned "industrial" either! Walter hill has been burdened enough with the trash, traffic, and effluent water! It is time for someone else to share the load!

I vehemently oppose the building of this training facility at Coleman Farm in Murfreesboro, TN. I strongly urge the city to seek another site for this facility, preferably one that is not near a neighborhood

If this project is vital for the protection, then it should be a joint facility with Rutherford County. Enabling a more isolated location & split funding costs.

This is a terrible idea to have this so close to our homes. It doesnt make sense if you have land available near the jail. That land would make logistics even better for your fire/police employees. Home value will go down which means less tax money for you city officials. Think about it.

Are you freaking kidding me! The renderings show this is a military training site and this should not be close to town at all. I am a hunter and outdoorsman, but just the idea of having this close to town and close to my neighborhood is insane.

I would not want to see this let alone hear this from my home! Something like this should be build out on Woodbury highway out behind Wal-Mart! Not out in a country area where it would be uneconomic. This location is a subdivision family area where there are schools just less than a half a mile! Not a well thought out plan. I thought people who are put in political positions are suppose to have common sense.

My family and I will move if this is passed. This facility should not be allowed to exist so close to a thriving community. Out of the thousands of available acreage available in the county, adjacent the landfill is the best place? To approve this site plan would totally be against any resident that lives near this site. Come on City of Murfreesboro, do what the residents expect from its elected officials. Respect the residents wishes. The only reason there aren't more objections is because those that don't live close don't want this facility near them. I know the emergency folks thinks this is a great idea but how many live near the area. Starting to look at other cities nearby to call home.

I oppose this facility so close to this residential area. Our family supports Law Enforcement, but this huge facility has no business near any residential areas. Please consider another area. Thank you.

I strongly opposed, this kind of facility does not belong in a residential area. Property values will be affected and homes would be hard to sell. I just can't believe that in all Rutherford County this was the only land available! Please consider an industrial area. Thank you.

I strongly oppose the facility (actually it is a compound) that the city would like to build across from our neighborhood. While I support our law enforcement, firemen, EMT's etc. this kind of "facility" has no business being so close to a neighborhood. A "facility" like this should be further out in the county where no neighborhoods, or houses are close by. We have a quiet place to raise our families and we shouldn't have our world turned upside down b/c of a monstrosity like this. The noise from the extra traffic on the road, the barking dogs, fire ranges??? The noise for the people who pay our taxes would be detrimental to our family, dogs, etc. This would bring the value of our homes down and make it hard to sell our houses. I implore the city to seek land else where. Thank you.

I oppose the location of the proposed facility due to the fact that I feel it will have a detrimental affect on the already damaged property values in our neighborhood. Yes, they have recovered some over the past couple of years, however, I feel the safety and noise considerations of the proposed facility will not present a positive trend in our properties. Additionally, the significant increase in traffic around and though our neighborhood undermines the residential feel we currently enjoy.

Large residential area inside Murfreesboro city limits. They must think us fools to believe that it will create very little noise. I think they should set up a fund for a class action law suite after they start playing dumb to major noise complaints! They also need to set up a fund to pay the difference on devalued homes! I am sure the city will just ram it down our throats. I am very much against this proposal and feel that a site farther out is warranted! The roads in this area are horrible, dangerous and congested will they reengineer them?
