Past practice for this corporation shows the communities do not get their return on "investment". The jobs pay paltry wages, the employees need public assistance to survive, and the devastation to our tax-paying local businesses is guaranteed. Wal mart has enough money. If they want a store their, let them pick up the tab.

Why do they even ask for a subsidy? Greedy? I dont get why it would even be a consideration. What does our community get except higher volumes of traffic.....

Walmart is a VERY profitable company whose employees are dispraportionally on public assistance via badgercare and foodstamps. They do not need taxpayer assistance to build a new store.

There is no way that the city or taxpayers should subsidize this development. Far more investigation into the impacts of the development should be done anyway, but to subsidize the worlds largest retailer.....seriously?

No taxpayer subsidy. We need street resurfaced and potholes repaired. Our taxpayer $ should go to more needed services not to feed Wal-Mart.
