Totally agree, photo radar is most needed and should be in school and play ground zones, not used as a cash cow but should be used as it was intended for, keeping the children safe! Receiving a ticket 2 weeks later in the mail is no different then trying to discipline your dog for peeing on the floor two weeks later, it just has no meaning! If at least people know they are going to get a ticket for speeding in a school zone then they will slow down and maybe save someone's child! That should be what it is all about shouldn't it?

Thank you one and all for doing this petition. The mayor promised during his election campaign he would do a review of photo radar. Well we are still waiting Mr. Mayor. The majority of citizens want this cash cow gone except in school and playground zones. Listen to the citizens of your great city!!!!

The honest intention of this program is to reduce the amount of citizens who exceed the speed limit in specified zones. This would be understandable and acceptable. Instead this program exploits those who intentionally or unintentionally exceed the marked limits with and automated system that has no proven record of it's ability to reduce the number of citizens who speed. Show a record of how this program has reduced the number of citizens speeding to support or expose this system for it's true purpose. If the amount of tickets issued from the time the program was instituted has consistently decreased then the program is truly working and should be kept in place. Instead I believe the opposite is true and the amount of citizens found and ticketed for speeding has increased, which makes this program useless, except for monetary gain.

No need to use photo radar on Scholten hill 13 ave or gershaw drive.... It's a dam scam and it needs to stop... Not only that How do I know that photo radar is even calibrated properly? I mean the ticket might say 61 or 62 but are the drivers really going that fast. How do I know I'm not going to get a ticket for going 57 in a 50 zone... The program is flawed and changes need to be made so that radar is uses properly.... Maybe the proceeds from photo radar need to go back to community rather then the police force. .. If cops want to catch people let them do it

It needs to be only in school zones and playground zones. And the revenues generated should go to women's shelter..drug rehabilitation. .homeless ect.. under no circumstances should the city or mhps get another cent..period!

I don't have a problem with photo radar IN SCHOOL ZONES , and high collision areas, but it has become ONLY a revenue source and that is the problem. I remember during the last election that the police chief says, and I quote '' We do not hide the photo radar, it is in plain view all the time'' Looks hidden to me.

Photoradar is cool if used as a deterrent not an income source...
