Sounds really good. It has become a real cash cow, unfair to drivers.

Not against the photo radar boxes and vans. All though they should be focused on keeping playgrounds kids and schools safe. It should not be used as source of revenue for the police force. Better yet put the revenue from photo radar back Into the community fix streets and upgrade playgrounds, soccer fields, baseball diamonds. Build a better future for our beautiful city.

We need to get rid of this. It has nothing to do with safety.

My tipping point was when I saw the van at 7 AM on a Saturday morning, tagging people on their way to work, on Gershaw Drive. It's an assault on the tax base, while conveniently leaving government workers alone (weekend)

I am not against photo radar entirely, but I am very against how Medicine Hat implements their program.

I think photo radar is over used and placed in inappropriate areas of the city

This is a cash grab and not being utilized as a safety mechanism.

Out in front of schools, yes. But On 4 lane roads in industrial areas is 100% revenue generation and has to go. It's a black eye on our city and our police force.

Enough is enough! I'm sick of getting photo radar tickets for doing 61 km/h. I travel all over AB, SK and BC. The ONLY PLACE I get photo radar tickets is in Medicine Hat. If it's about safety and not grabbing money then put up huge easily visible signs warning where the photo radar units are. That will slow everyone down and isn't that what it's supposed to be about?? Also. why are the speed limits in every photo radar zone either 30km/h (school zone) or 50 km/h? Every other city has the speed at 60km/h minimum on their major traffic arteries. ???

Mayor Clugston, you made a promise in the last civic election that this matter would be reviewed and we still have not had any public consultations on it
