It's nothing but a cash cow. Why hide the boxes? I agree put them where they are meant to be. In school zones and parks.

Photo radar is theft.

Speed limits should be set at respectable speeds for safe travel not kept low so roadways can be used for the ole money grab. Parkview drive, Sultan hill etc.

I've never had a photo radar before but I definitely agree that it should be places kept so people don't speed through school zones not where a random street. And I think the money should go into the community not the police force.

I agree, they should only be where they were originally set out to be

I'm not against photo radar. I do think it should be in school/playground zones and made visible.

you have never visited this city until they have sent you a photo radar ticket. could be put back to original use of policing school and playgrounds

Use it for safety not a revenue stream... school zones, playgrounds, seniors centres. And it would definitely be a more significant deterrent if it was made to be seen and highly visible! It would cause people to slow down instead of just taking a picture of them putting people at risk... which is the goal??? Causing people to slow down/hold them accountable or simply making money off of them for speeding? They will still get a ticket because usually by the time you can see it, it is too late, bit the visibility will cause them to slow down. The goal and reason for it being there will actually be achieved, providing a safe environment. Taking a picture of it only achieves half the aim (accountability ).

Perhaps our city should focus more on busting drunk drivers. Only two drunk driving violations were administered on their last check stop? That's pretty faulty if you ask me. If your only catching two your not trying hard enough. Perhaps some of the money us citizens have paid for photo radar tickets should go to researching high traffic areas after 2:30 am on a weekend. (PS your only kidding yourself to do it on long weekends! Drunk driving happens every weekend and every night! Perhaps ask clugston how many times he evaded the check stops, use him as the mole)

My parents live on sprague way se and there is a playground zone ! Which apparently the photo radar cannot catch because of the curve in the road !! Hmm I have seen city busses fly through there as well as every other drivers ! I thought this would be a great place to catch speeders ! But no they catch us on college drive etc where the speed limit is 50 so sad ! My parents have offered them to hide at there place but to no avail :(

It's a cash cow for a corrupt police force. I agree for school zones, playground zones and high collision areas but nowhere else
