The town does not have the infrastructure to support this kind of development. The council needs to think of the physical impact to the town and not the monetary gain

After living/traveling all around the U.S. and the world — vistaI chose Smithfield Virginia to call home! Obviously I’m not a “Hampton Roads native” but I CHOSE to live like a Smithfield native because I appreciate it for exactly what is, what it represents, and not the possibility of what it “could” turn it into regardless of impact to majority of others. Small, quiet, SAFE, green, charming towns are becoming a thing of the past...DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO SMITHFIELD -- PRESERVE MALLORY FARM!

The infrastructure in Isle of Wight cannot handle any more homes and the people who move to Carrollton and Smithfield move here to get away from the over crowded cities. NO MORE GROWTH!!!!

23314. Keep this county ruel. Can't stand all this traffic, not to mention you all haven't thought about how to cover the school overcrowding. Hoow do you expect to educate all of the children that would be effected by the growth. Country is worth a lot more than just proffers, and tax revenue..

We don't need this in our community. Traffic is terrible already and our school systems are over loaded.

Pack your development bags and leave us alone. People moved here to get away from the mess you want to bring here. Smithfield is a beautiful rural place to live and we want to keep it that way.

Against rezoning. Traffic, schools, Healthcare, air quality during lengthy construction, home values. Just names a handful of pitfalls.

There is absolutely no way our town can support this many more houses. Our schools are already overcrowded, and the current building plans will not expand to this degree. We do not have entertainment or shopping locations for more people. Our town will not benefit from more people financially, because they will still conduct business outside of the county. The traffic will be terrible on an already busy road. And, you will kill so much wildlife by destroying their habitat. Just say no!
