23430. I moved to Smithfield to get away from Hampton because I wanted to live in a rural area, NOT another over-crowded city. These developments will ruin Smithfield!

Additional development with this corridor will further degrade the small town feel of Carrollton and Smithfield. Additionally the removal of forested area will remove an important ecological buffer that filters sediment and pollution to the pagan river. Additional homes will directly increase unfiltered storm stormwater runoff to the pagan. Nike park rd cannot handle additional traffic during commute times and will bottleneck volume at the stop sign and light.
