The proposed increase in housing units is unreasonable and irresponsible for the location in question. It makes zero sense. While the originally accepted proposal isn’t great, it makes far more sense for this area than this new zoning proposal.

I live in Gatling Pointe and I don't want to see us become just like the Peninsula. We don't have enough infrastructure and resources to add this many new homes, condos, or apartments. It will take away the rural feel and impact the wildlife that we see every day. The trees will be cut down.

23430 we do not need the additional strain on the infrastructure of smithfield that will chip away at the reason I love being born and raised here in smithfield.

We already have town homes that have been approved for other developments. Benn’s Grant hasn’t even filled up yet. Our schools are crowded enough. The developer considered the schools as they are now. What will they look like when all the other developments that have been approved are built? When Benn’s Grant is fully built and at capacity? Briarmeade is adding to Carrollton Elementary, Founder’s Pointe is still building and will add more children to the schools. They looked at numbers for Hardy, but when schools have to rezone and Wellington and Gatling are pushed into Hardy with Mallory, what then?
We were given the glossy image of how their community will be an asset or not troublesome to the community. The reality is that this neighborhood will increase the already terrible traffic, flood our already crowded schools, and completely destroy the beautiful natural lands we still have out here.
Please put a stop to this while we have a chance.

Schools will be a disaster not to mention ruining this County Builders want to come over here because they have no where else to build anymore
