We DO NOT want this approved by our town!! Many of us live here and have moved here because it’s not an over crowded, traffic nightmare! Our schools can’t handle this (coming from an IWCS teacher!) SAY NO!

Please consider the impact on the lives who live here. Once the builder is done destroying our quiet community he takes his $$ and moves on to make more. He doesn’t have to live here.

This development will directly impact my home and my family. It is already a nightmare to turn left out of Wellington during certain times of the day. As an adult it is difficult to navigate finding safe windows of opportunity to exit sometimes, but I fear for when my children become of age to drive and have to try and handle that challenge if a round about is put in, continuous traffic streams through, and we have an increased amount of traffic.
I feel like absolutely nobody lives in Smithfield for convenience. We live here because we love the quiet, we want away from the hustle and bustle. If families want to live in a neighborhood like this new Mallory Pointe proposal, they can easily drive down to the already nightmare traffic of Harbour View in Suffolk or into Chesapeake or Virginia Beach to find neighborhoods of that caliber. Please keep our small town small. We like it that way.
