Seriously IOW planners? I feel like this shouldn’t have to be explained to city planners, but battery park rd was not designed for that amount of traffic. It is going to make the area extremely congested, not to mention that it will ruin the natural beauty of the area that makes IOW special. Also, having personally worked for the schools, I can tell you that the ratio of students to classrooms/teachers is abhorrent. This plan is about lining pockets of a select few, while hanging the citizens of this town out to dry. Furthermore, the area is heavily populated by deer and wildlife, where exactly are they supposed to go? Is there zero desire for conservation in this town anymore? Or, once again, is it all about money to you folks? This needs to be rejected and burn in the pile of totally crappy and selfish ideas.

Please keep Smithfield a small town. Our infrastructure cannot handle the additional traffic or people. The schools became overcrowded years ago and cannot physically support current students.

23430. Just moved from the city of Newport News to quiet small town of Smithfield and don’t want to see this little place lose its small town charm. Please don’t develop

The schools are already over populated. The traffic going across the bridge for commuters will be a nightmare.

We don't need a development that big over here. People come to Isle of Wight for our country setting. Our roads can barely handle the traffic we have now.
