I have seen the effects of low income housing in the school district. Our future needs to be preserved. We do not need anymore troubled children from low income housing in our schools.

We have enough low income housing in Alton that the residents do NOT take care of.

Please stop this from happening. Spend the money trying to help current residents. The city does not need the burden to have another housing project.

I live a quarter mile away from this site and I do not wish to have section 8 housing down the street from me. This will NOT help Alton, but hurt it. If this happens, I will be selling my house and not only move out of Alton but move out of the state so Madison county and Alton do not get any of my tax money that I regularly pay.

I'm a Realtor, and I don't think this will benefit our community.
