This is a valuable tool in the assessment of patients, and must be kept for Chiropractor's to use for patient safety and for the doctor to make proper judgments on patient care

Allowing chiropractors to x-ray patients is an intricate part of their care and well being. Please allow them to do their job to the best of their ability!

X-rays are an important tool for diagnosis. Important to rule in oor out certain conditions and often find things that effect course of treatment.

The decision as to whether or not a patient should have radiographic procedures performed should rest with the Chiropractor who is taking care of that patient. We are sufficiently trained to make those decisions.

Radiographic postural analysis not only helps in determining the intitial NEED for care, but also the TYPE of adjusting procedure that is most likely to bring benefit (and least likely to cause negative outcomes) as well as an objective indication of patient progress.

nowChiropractic XRay diagnosed my moms heart problems when taking a routine xray to assess her spine after years of RA problems. The doctor was laughing in her face for symptoms of chest pain while the Chiropractors XRAY gave us great indication to what's going on. They care way more and the use of XRAY is important so people like my mom don't fall through the cracks with MDs

Chiropractors are trained to identify when an x-ray is indicated and when it is contra indicated. Medical pathology is not the only justifiable reason for taking an x-ray in the scientific practice of chiropractic.

I depend on imaging to not just evaluate any contraindications to care, but also to see hidden biomechanical issues as well as degree of degenerative changes similar to the way a dentist uses xrays to identify asymptomatic cavities to prevent problems in the future. As a wellness chiropractor, i need to know how to address current health concerns, but also identify old damage that may be able to be slowed, stopped or reversed and to ensure that I am giving the best recommendations for me to do my best work to support my patients in having a healthy longevity. The fact that degeerative changes are now showing up in 9% of 10 year olds tells us that we must get better at educating our patietns on proper spinal hygiene. The xray uncovers where there are circumstances that are unidentified becasue they are not yet symptomatic, and yet can be addressed early so that everyone has the potential of having a healthy normal spine there whole life which means one that has no degerative changes.
IT is a grave mistake to limit chiropractors from using xrays to support salutagenic approaches to health care.

X-rays are needed for safety for the patient. I find cases of fusion and or severe DISH at least once a month. It is important to protect the patients by having x-rays the doctor can determine the safest and most effective way of care. I have also found cases of cancer and severe cases of scoliosis.

Just as radar is used by different professions for different requirements, so too should the use of Xray for Chiropractors. Medicine and Chiropractic; two different professions, each using Xrays for different requirements. Trying to enforce medical Xray guidelines onto Chiropractors is ridiculous! Rather, produce Chiropractic specific Xray guidelines/regulation.

XRay is an essential part of man chiropractic techniques. To restrict its use beyond clinical judgement of the doctor is to harm the patient and the public.

My current chiro is the first i've met in 10yrs who used an x-ray to assess my issues and for the first time in a long time my back issues rarely bother me anymore, the x-ray was a key part of his diagnosis.
