X-rays are useful tools to diagnose patients for any misalignment, rotational spine, degeneration, dysfunction of the spine especially when treating scoliosis, it is impossible not using X-rays to diagnose, measure and treatment to help reducing the curve of the spine.

Xrays and other imaging are the map chiropractors use to see what's going on in the body. Imaging can detect problems contraindicative to care or that need referral. Chiropractic is unique in its ability to help the body heal itself as intended, providing cost effective care that allopathic medicine cannot provide. Imaging is absolutely essential to safely practicing chiropractic.

Benefits far outweigh the risks. Quality care has to be given.

I don't understand why one group of chiropractors (B.C. College) should decide it has the right to restrict their fully qualified colleagues' use of x-rays from determining when they are required. I have never been subjected to an overuse of x-rays through the years that I have received chiropractic treatment. I believe that my chiropractor is fully capable of making the decision of when they are needed. Is the College trying to curry favor with insurance providers because they themselves do not practice techniques where they are required?

Without xray, I would never have seen the deterioration of my spine. Now on the road to correction

This restriction doesn’t make any sense.

X rays are fundamental in order to make a specific evaluation on the patient. 1st rule, DO NO HARM and by taking x rays, when clinically needed, we make sure we do our best for the health of the person.

Why would such a tool be removed from the Chiropractor's kit? Does not the patient come first? Allow the practitioner to have as much knowledge as possible.

Just one more arbitrary and unjustified move by the Dix NDP to restrict and limit effective complimentary medicine. At the rate this government is moving, the only medicine that will be left in 4 years will be pharmaceuticals.

X-rays are an important tools for Chiropractors. They need to see how body / spine is aligned so that proper treatment can be administered.
