I am a practicing DC in Wisconsin. I don’t know how I would be able to practice safely and to the best of my ability without taking X-rays

To take away or limit imaging from chiropractors who work on the spine is not only ridiculous, but dangerous.

To see is to know, to not see is to guess. We don’t guess with your health.

xray is a vital component for the proper diagnosis and correction of spinal conditions including ruling out contraindications and revaluating and adapting treatment protocols. To limit this is a danger to patients and is not based on current research.

The use of X-Rays for Chiropractic analysis is critical in maintaining public safety standards, as well as, providing the most sound information for clinical decision-making.

I am a patient having receive an x-ray from my chiropractor to detect and confirm diagnosis and ongoing treatment. I am also a massage therapy student and further understand the benefits outweigh the risk.

X-Rays help the Chiropractor truly “ see the inside picture” hence allowing them to make best decision on the type of adjustment and treatment to better help their patient OR if there should even be an adjustment depending on X-Ray.

X-rays are very important before treating a patient, it makes you feel that the chiropractor is not taking any risks before treating the problem. I personally feel that this is very very important.

At this time in life we need more services like being able too have xray in our Chiropractic offices , imaging having to wait 7/10 days to get results from a already over booked and under staffed health care system.

Why dismantle a critical aspect of chiropractic care. These kinds of alternative healthcare remain a very helpful part of our overall healthcare system. I receive far more benefit from alternative healthcare Sources than I do my general practitioner.

Critical element of spinal corrective care. To see is to know, not to see is to guess. I prefer not to guess about the best outcomes for my patient. They would not want me to guess either.

X-Rays are an essential tool for any primary health care provider. There is no reason to restrict access to an essential tool.

Being safe as a doctor of chiropractic is essential. Xrays are a key component of that safety, not just to rule out pathology, but also to prevent adjusting a patient incorrectly and causing damage to an individual you want to help. Palpation is a great tool, but often misleading, and needs to be used in conjunction with other testing modalities to build a clinical picture, and plan of management suitable for each patient. We must remember an adjustment can be a trauma, and xrays along with a good clinical exam, help us identify how and I think more importantly how not to adjust. If you take NUCCA as an example, you will not find a case of injury post adjustment as it is so safe. This is because of time and effort spent to identify the misalignment and not just push on something because it is a bit stiff. I urge anyone against xrays in clinical practice to visit the named a doctor who practices the named techniques that require xrays to identify misalignment and experience the difference it makes for themselves.
