Just another tool in the tool box to use in an educated application as opposed to something along the lines of "I think what is wrong is this", I for one would rather be x-rayed and eliminate the guess work.

This is positively outrageous and what is more egregious is that this move was made on the quiet, with no information being given. Disgraceful! Are we living in China now?

Xray capabilities for chiropractors are an important tool for understanding patient symptoms and determining the appropriate health intervention. Chiropractors with in-office xray capabilities also relieve the burden on xray equipment run by 3rd party laboratories and hospitals while allowing for more expedient results and patient care. By enabling chiropractors to fully utilize xray results without limitations, it enables more holistic care and treatment options for patients. A discussion between chiropractors and patient regarding the frequency of xray exams should remain mandatory and at the discretion of the patient.

This is not a sound decision, likely just another money grab. If you want to let this ruling stand for new chiropractic grads, OK. Practitioners who have been using X-rays to assist their patients' treatments obviously know how to use the machines & should be allowed to continue for the continued welfare of their patients!!! They obviously know how to do it!

I believe there are varied reasons to use X-rays that are completely beneficial to the patient so the doctor can present the best care plan going forward using the evidence of X-rays in addition to the history intake and initial examination. There are red flags why not to use X-rays, and doctors in training as well as doctors ought to know these. But to limit the scope to some limited sense of serious medical pathologies only is to open up all doctors whom you are training to gross negligence, negligence, and simply missing something that otherwise could either affect a person's life gravely (in the short-, medium- or long-term), and more than this. What about Anterior Head Carriage? You would seriously let that go? That would be devastating to a person to let that go, though from the exam it is suspected, you would dare to let that go without X-rays? We cannot palpate DDD, so, what about knowing that from X-rays what level to pay more attention to for adjusting? There are many more examples that I am sure my (our) colleagues have presented. Your policy, should it be implemented, would set a very dangerous standard, a standard of care that is LESS THAN community standards. I wish you all careful forethought on this. Please refrain from being ultra-conservative in your direction of policy making for the use of X-rays.

This is an extremely important aspect of patient diagnosis and care. Irrational fear is not a valid reason to limit scope of practice.

The use of x-rays by my NUCCA chiropractor has been an indispensable guide for him over the years of my treatment and skeletal changes. It is utter folly to handcuff their practice in this way.

I believe Nucca chiropractors have been trained & certified in the use of X-ray as it relates to their practice. I feel the internal information given by x-rays to chiropractors better informs their therapy. In 30 years I have never been over x-rayed.

Chiropractic x-rays should be mandatory
