Citizens for Chiropractic and the Continued Use of X-rays

Xrays are an important tool for chiropractic clinical analysis as well as to rule out pathology. Our use of xrays are also embedded in historical precedent in our profession and define a critical point of difference between chiropractors and virtually every other care provider. How does limiting our use of xray benefit anyone?

An initial set of x-rays should be standard of care to rule out contraindications to adjusting/manipulation, regardless of patient presentation. Follow-up x-rays to track progress are negotiable, in my opinion.

I benefit from NUCCA chiropractic treatment.

Some clinical ailments although not severe, can still be hidden and can remain incorrectly diagnosed, due to possible structurally anomalies that while may be currently intact and functioning, would still benefit from radiographic imaging, if only preventitavly to address possible contract indications, but also to observe the asymetric nature of the bones involved. The atlas alone is intimately related to brain stem/spinalcord thus can benefit from knowing if any asymmetrical variance is included with its shape ,which could subsequently involve any number of organs and systems if not dramatically, at the very least insidiously. This remains true thoughout all bones of the spine, and amy other bones relatuve relation to ANY nerve.

A board that denies its members the ability to X-ray and properly diagnose and treat patients should be disbanded and sued for willful negligence.

Don't limit a health care consumer's ability to receive the most complete care she can by her chosen practitioner, especially given the dire lack of availability of family doctors. In exactly whose interest is this decision being made?

At the end of the day the patient still has the final say as to whether or not they get an x-ray. It doesn't make sense not to allow chiropractors the ability to take an xray if it helps in providing better, and often times more timely, care.

Leave it up to the Chiropractor to determine if x-rays are needed. It is for the health and wellness of the patient.

Don't reduce the ability for Chiropractor's to diagnose. It's worth it for us to catch cancer before it takes someone's life.

Given the opinions of some GP, there are patients that go straight to chiropractors instead of their GP or hospital. Chiros shouldnt be restricted in this manner, they're often more attentive than labs or others.

Dr. Norris is very knowledgeable and always puts his patient’s needs and well being first.

Let the Chiropractor take care of me, he needs xrays like the MD needs his drugs.

Those of us who have benefitted from great chiropractic care from. NUCCA practitioner are devastated to learn of this action.

I was having back issues for years before my nucca treatments. The ex-rays showed the issue will my lower back!

Absolutely ridiculous decision from the Board. Why were the Chiropractors who practice NUCCA not informed that this was an issue before such a drastic change in rules was made that will affect thousands of patients and doctors?

Nucca treatments were very helpful for me. Not giving Chiros the possibility to take x-rays is like asling a doctors to treat their patients without blood tests, urine tests or any other prelevements.

I have experienced much relief from NUCCA chiropractics and their use of x-ray imaging has helped to isolate the location of my misalignment and target the treatment.

Please let our chiropractors do their jobs effectively. Let them use the tools they have been trained to use to treat their patients.

The NUCCA form of chiropractic service is the only thing that helped with severe sciatica and migraines over the last decade. It would be a shame to not allow this chiro option to continue
